VCOF Youth Mentoring Programs assist at-risk youth who may be more susceptible to self-destructive behaviors due to unstable homelife. In 1987, VCOF recognized the special needs of children whose parents were active military, veterans, battling substance abuse addiction or were incarcerated.
The youth programs emphasize leadership development, community engagement and service to others.
Our youth programs are open to all children from military or non-military families.
In 2020, VCOF partners with local school systems to lead group mentoring programs. We presently lead a Young Gentlemen's Group at Fair Street Elementary School, Gainesville, GA and groups at Jolly Time Elementary School, Clarkston, GA, Sugar Hill Elementary and East Hall Middle School. We welcome veteran and non-veteran adults to lead groups.
We offer financial support to rising college students through the Pat Prince and the Larry Roberts Scholarship Programs.
